Performance management is an important composition in human resource management in enterprise. Establishing performance management system is a new development direction for performance control and is a requirement for humanitarian management. Yangtze River Acetyls Co. , faced with increasing rivals, reduced positive activity attitude among employees, must carry out the performance management in order to enhance competitiveness, to establish effective initiative mechanism and initiate employee's positive attitude. Development of modern enterprise cannot stay away from management while management for people is an important aspect. Performance management serves as foundation for human resource management. Establishment of performance management can help promote human resource management, which is my preliminary intention for the paper. In addition, a complete set of theory for performance management has been already formed in western countries. How to properly link the theory with the actual condition in our country and put it to operation is the other aspect in my paper. To this end, based on theory of performance management and actual condition of my Co. I design the performance management system specifically for the Co. including organization mechanism, target, planning, implementation, assessment, and response of performance management. Human Resource, the 1st resource for the enterprise, is the vital competitiveness for the enterprise to obtain advantage over competition while performance management is the core of human resource management on how to enhance the quality of human resource and carry out effective performance management. Performance management is an important process of enabling management level to align people's activity and work output with target of organization. Establishing and improving performance management system and enable it to function as intended are an important source of enhancing competitiveness of enterprise. Efficient performance management system can contribute to competitiveness of enterprise and enable enterprise to access advantage over competition. The key of performance management is to properly assign and allocate strategic target of enterprise to each business unit and everyone and perform the management, improvement and enhancement for individual performance so as to make better the overall performance and productivity and value of enterprise so that the advantage over competition is obtained. The essence of performance management lies in real improvement of performance, meeting the target set by department or enterprise and promotion of employee's development via sustainable dynamic communication. The ultimate purpose of performance management is to improve employee's work performance to meet the target of enterprise and enhance their satisfaction and sense of achievement. In view of importance of performance management and current concerns with enterprises across the country in the area, the paper is to review the current status and analyze the existing concerns with performance management based on basic theory and relevant information on performance management and in conjunction with implementation of performance management on Yangtze River Acetyls Co. , And then consider how to apply its theory to practice with performance management in Yangtze River Acetyls Co. in an attempt to design a practically efficient performance management system for Yangtze River Acetyls Co. and to test the strength of the theory based on its actual implementation.
