In the five-thousand-year history of human, the Chinese nation conquered infinite difficulties, kept vigorous, developed and grew, the key reason was it had strong and tough cohesion. In the new era, this kind of cohesion shows great values of safeguarding the national reunification and the national union, improving the national power and international competition power, realizing the aim to build a well-off society in an all-round way. The Chinese national cohesion is not constant, but changing with the historical development. Its strength and weakness are restricted by the geography, the material civilization, the system civilization, the spiritual civilization, etc. So the Chinese national cohesion shows strength and weakness in different era, but the main trend is developing an upgrading, especially from the reform and opening, it is upgraded obviously with the progress and flourish of our economy, politics and culture, at the same time, because of the impact of the western rotten culture and values brought by the globalization; because of some contradictions and problems brought by the imperfection of our socialist marketing economy; because of the new challenges to it brought by the division's destroy.
