Establishment Of The System Of Stock And Selling For The North Stated Base Of Forest Seedling Demonstration

The startup of the six key forestry programs in 2002 is a sign of a new development stage for Chinese forestry, which are the strategic programs of reconstructing the beautiful landscape. The digital forestry concept proposed in 2001 pointed out the direction that the information technology plays a very important role in the forestry construction. The implement of forestry programs has provided a more broad space for the seedling industry, at the same time, the policy of digital forestry offer enough reasons to speed up the information course of seedling construction. The study and construction of stock and selling system (SSS) for nursery is conceived against the background.Now, nurseries are still the important guarantee for the source of forestry seedling, which is an important sector to insure the long-term and sustainable development of Chinese forestry. With the gradual maturity and the quick acceleration in competition of seed-seedling market, some drawbacks appearing gradually for many state-owned and big-sized nurseries, especially such as lack of efficiency, low informatization level. To solve these problems, the paper constructed and developed the stock and selling system for large-sized nurseries.Theories used in the system development involved in systems science, management science, information science, forestry science and the technology systems involved in development methods, network communication, database technology, software structure based on analysis and research of the system, which established foundation for developing the system. Built on the North stated base of forest seedling demonstration,the detailed surveys on demand of nursery were conducted, the system was analysed and designed, database of SQL Server and programme of PowerBuilder7.3 were adopted , so finally with successful development of stock and selling system. The system can replace the way by which the nursery dealt with information manually or using simple Excel, which will contribute to enhancement of level of information transaction as well as management level and efficiency.
