Financial regulation plays a vital role in protecting the development of the financial industry, also the underlying factor in good business condition. Effective financial regulation, to a certain extent, depends on whether the authorities select appropriate regulation models, felicitous regulation systems and forward-looking, pragmatic regulations.According to many findings, it is provable that finance and economics are intertwined. After the return to China, Macau has achieved sustained growth with China's economic policies. The financial industry in Macau, however, seems not to benefit from these policies. The industry is in a predicament that margin profits are reducing with the increase in risks. The article intends to analysis the Macau's financial regulation of what has been and what is, and to make a comparison between Macau's and developed countries' regulation. Unlike the research which mainly focuses on the business strategies and risk management of Macau's financial institutions, this article concentrates on what impacts of the development of the financial industry under the current Macau's financial regulation through comparative analysis, and make a conclusion that the way that help the institutions out of difficulty is to strengthen the levels of financial regulation. And in the view of the effectiveness of Macau' financial regulation, the author make suggestions and give reasons why they work.
