Agile Virtual Enterprises (AVEs) are the main operation organization form of agile manufacturing in knowledge-based economy era. The dissertation studies the theoretical foundation and some key management issues in the organization and technology operation processes of AVEs. Firstly, the definition and classification of Virtual Enterprise is given from a systematic and process view ; The theory basis, transaction cost theory and enterprise core competence theory of AVEs is put forward;The design of organization structure and management work in all the stages of life cycle in AVEs is discussed. Secondly, the dissertation deals with the two key problems-partner selection and profit distribution in management of AVEs; the evaluation codes and evaluation methods, the two key factors is discussed. The partner selection model based on AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) and the profit distribution model based on game theory in AVEs is put forward. Simultaneously, some examples illustrate the validity of these models. Finally, the implementation technologies of AVEs are discussed; AVE information infrastructure based on CORBA and WWW is put forward.
