Wage collective bargaining is a wage-determined mechanism, which is throughnegotiation between enterprises (represent the employees) and trade unions (represent theemployers) under government's legal protection. Nowadays, wage collective bargainingsystem relying on its t superiority to other wage-determined mechanisms has been adopted inmost market economy countries .It is a main method that determine worker's wage level andwage distribution structure. Since 1994, wage collective bargaining system was introduced in China. It alsodemonstrates the suitable positive role in the process. But, the market economy in our countryis not very perfect. There are still a lot of obstacles hindering wage collective bargainingsystem development in reality. There do also exist many restrains that hold its development towider range and deeper level. This paper is just launched because of the above reasons. The paper is divided into four parts: the intension of wage collective bargaining system;the occurring and development of wage collective bargaining system in our country; therestraints of its transplant and the countermeasures and suggestions to its transplant. The first part describes the intension of wage collective bargaining system, reviewsdevelopment process of wage collective bargaining system and analyzes its effectiveness as amethod of wage distribution system in market economy. The second part summarizes the development course of wage distribution system of ourcountry. And introduces the foundation to develop wage collective bargaining and provides itscurrent situation in our country. The third part analyzes the present labor market, the characteristics of trade union andenterprise mode, and points out that workforce's buyer's market, trade union's functionomission and enterprise's mode pluralism are the main restraints that our country faces whiletransplanting wage collective bargaining system. The fourth part provides some countermeasures and suggestions including strengtheningtrade union independent to the government and enterprises, government's providing equalplatforms to negotiations, advancing industrial collective bargaining and giving laborer legalstrike right, etc.
