Development is the core of the "Three Represents" important thought. That the CPCrepresents the requirement to develop advanced productive forces, an orientation towardsadvanced culture, and the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people inChina all gives prominence to development Under the guidance of the world outlook and methodology of Marxist philosophy, thescientific development concept in the" Three Represents" important thought, entering on thetheme of building socialism with Chinese characteristics, making good use of the greatachievements of the contemporary thought on development in the West, scientifically holdsthe great changes of the world today, profoundly summarizes the experiences from thebuilding of socialism both domestic and abroad, especially the experiences that our party andthe Chinese people have gained from the practice of building socialism with Chinesecharacteristics since the Fourth Plenary Session of the 13th CPC Central Committee,creatively and scientifically explains the position, goal, opportunity, impetus, strategy and aimof development, deepens the cognitions about the laws of CPC's ruling, of the buildings ofsocialism and of the development of the human society, reflects the new demand for the partyand the state required by the contemporary world and the development and changes of China,and enriches and develops the development thought of Marxism and especially DengXiaoping Theory. To learn and study profoundly the new elucidation of the "ThreeRepresents" on the development concept so as to grasp development concept –the theme ofthe "Three Represents" is of practical and historical significance in pushing forward furtherthe cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and realizing the goal of building acomparatively well-off society in an all-round way.
