Wei,Jin and Northern and Southern Dynasties period is the death penalty is an important period of development during this period although the country split time in our history,but this period of legal development has been remarkable progress in the history of legal development in ancient China,an important position at the nexus.First,it changed the death penalty,Qin and Han the trend of development to "simple to moderate"vaules,and ways the death penalty Legal Advisors started to decrease.Secord,due to long division,making the local county governor and the provincial governor to master a certain range of the death penalty decision.Once again,with the Confucian-oriented to strengthen the law,in particular the death penalty applicable to the subject appeared on the "Eight Conference"and other systems to safeguard the interests of the ruling class.Meanwhile,the rulers of the northern ethnic minorities in the localization process,breach of the fundamental values of Confucianism and criminal punishments are increased,for example,legislation in the Northern Qi Dynasty,"ten felonies",as a manifestation of the Confucian-based strengthening of the law.Through resreach on the Wei,Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties period,the death penalty helps to understand the ancient Chinese penal system.
