The Research For Survival Plight Of Rural People With Disabilities

The survival plight of the disabled has existed for all ages for they have lower social position and poor social lives. The disabled form a special vulnerable group for they have special mentality, special demand and special living means, and the rural disabled are the vulnerable group among the disabled for they have double weakness. With the constant economic development and increasing gap between the rich and the poor, the rural disabled has been marginalized increasingly as a part of vulnerable group, and the survival status of the disabled has worsen. Numerous rural disabled people live a poor life, and the disabled people who become poor people again after got rid of poor life account for a large proportion. The kind of rural poor disabled people are in weak position in market competition of socialism. They bear pressure due to shortage of material and spirit. The existence of the vulnerable group can not be ignored for they may influence the total society. As rural disabled people live a poor life, they have low living quality and weak acceptance to social risk, resulting in a series of social problems, including criminal of the disabled and poor culture of disabled. These hidden dangers that can not be got rid of with social development can influence the sustainable economic development and socialist cultural and ethical progress.Though it is true very important for us to provide material assistance to rural poor disabled people, we shall solve their poverty from two aspects to change the disadvantaged position of these members. On the one hand, we shall increase their income by emphasizing on employment security of rural disabled people besides governmental financial subsidies and donations from the society. On the other hand, the poverty of life is the important factor that blocks the development of rural disabled people. We shall perform governmental function to solve the demand of rural poor disabled people efficiently to offer possibility for the disabled on condition that guarantee basic survival of the disabled.
