The Research On Marx & Engels' Religious Thought And Its Contemporary Value

Since its appearing, Marx and Engels'religious thought caused an enormous shocking and a deep influence around the whole world. For the modern China, this religious thought is not only the theoretical basis for our nation and government to formulate religious policies and deal with the religious problems, but also is the important content of Chinese characteristic socialism theory. So, systematic and scientific understanding the religious thought of Marx and Engels and the discussing of its development in China has a very great theoretical and practical value. Hence, how to comprehend the religion's qualitative effect and its realistic value of the Maxims'theory, how to dialectically view the religion's dual role to the society with the Maxims'theory and how to employ the Maxims'theory to instruct the practice and realize the religion's adaption to the socialism turn into the intention and research aim of this thesis.It is on the above cognition, this paper expanded its research in the religious thought of Marx and Engels. For the method of research, on one hand, absorbing the existing achievements on the basis of the historical literature, putting their religious thought in the historical process of the development of human social thought to investigate, and put their religious thought into the ideological system of Marxism to recognize. On the other hand, combining the specific situation of religion in China, it objectively analyzed the permanent value and historical limitations of the religious thought of Marx and Engels, and discussed its direction in China as well as the practical methods to instruct its adaption to the socialism.This thesis is composed of four parts. First of all, it introduced the research method of this essay and made a literature review. In chapter one, it introduced the history background and the theoretical resource of the religious thought of Marx and Engels. In the second chapter, the author meticulously indicated in detail about the specific content and the realistic effect of the religious thought. Chapter three talked deeply about the contemporary value of the religious thought of Marx and Engels. This paper did an in-depth discussion about the religion's existence source and its internal tension, the religion's inner rationality of its existence, the relationship of the logos and faith, and some questions about the revolution of being a man of religion and Marxism. Meanwhile, this paper expounded the contemporary value of the religious thought of Marx and Engels through its integrating with the specific religious policies and current situation in China as well as taking the way to instruct the religions' adaption to the socialism as the guidance.
