Globalization and polarization are fastening their speed when entering into the 21st century and the whole world is going through some profound changes. The first 20 years marks an important strategic period during the peaceful development of China as long as our development is facing a historic opportunity. It is under this background that China can develop a strategic partnership with EU and also not abandon its benefit.Sticking to the win-win solution, reaching agreement in disagreement is the starting point to the EU policy; the common strategic and economic benefits serve as the motivation to the Sino-EU relationship. The all-round development to EU relations is the result from our national strategy. In the meantime, the sound development of Sino-EU relationship can do a lot benefits to our national security, development and liability, which is of significant meaning in safeguarding the world peace. However, the whole process brought us both challenges and difficulties which existed in a long time. There are four key factors that affect the sound development in the Sino-EU relationship, as the differences in social system and ideology, impediment from EU, restriction from USA and competition between Chinese interests and European countries'interests. To realize the national interests in the development of Sino-EU relations, four points need to be highlighted:Firstly, strengthen ourselves constantly in the strategic period. Secondly, insist on the integration between stability and flexibility of principle, and properly resolve differences and contradictions. Moreover, enhance the communication comprehensively, broaden the way of development. Finally, handle the Sino-USA-EU relationship correctly; weaken the negative influence from USA.
