Analysis Of The Liability Of Cruise Carrier

Cruise was once the chief means of transport of passengers by sea. It has transported the passengers between continents more than a century. Since appearance of the large passenger aircrafts, great changes have taken place in the function of cruise. Now, the cruise mainly provides travel services on sea.Since the 90s of last century, cruise tourism has become the fastest growing project of international tourism industry. With China's rapid economic development, Traveling on the sea by cruise has become the new trend of Chinese tourists, which also led to some legal issues in the process of cruise traveling.This paper tries to analyze the cruise contract, providing a comprehensive discussion the carrier of modern entertainment cruise ships should bear what responsibility in the law. This article is divided into three parts, the first describes the history of the cruise transportation, development and current situation; the second part focused on the nature, content and features of the cruise contract; the third part analyzes the cruise carrier's legal liability.In this thesis, author gives brief introduction to the contract of cruise traveling and the liability of the carrier, hoping it can give some help to China's future maritime legislations of cruise tourism.
