Research On System Of Pre-Sentence Investigation

Modern system of Pre-Sentence Investigation (PSI) originated in the nineteen forties, and developing rapidly in the countries all over the world. Now PSI is wildly applied in the field of juvenile crimes and probation cases. PSI in china is mainly applies in the field of juvenile crime at present. My thesis analyzed the theoretical sources of PSI, summarized the practices in other states, and the experience of domestic exploration, and put forward some suggestions for the establishment and perfection of PSI.The paper is of about 20000 characters which is divided into four sections with its contents as follows:Part 1 introduced the basic situation of PSI and opened the discussions on the concept of PSI, the basic theory on the foundation of PSI, and the lawsuit value of PSI.Part 2 introduced the origin of PSI, the practices and characteristics in other states.Part 3 analyzed the experience of domestic exploration of PSI, including the legal basis of PSI, the judicial practice in districts and deficiencies.Part 4 put forward some suggestions for the establishment and perfection of PSI.
