The problems of people's livelihood are people's basic survival and development issues, which concern people's clothing, housing, education, employment, income and other rights. With the continuous deepening of reform, China's economic and social have developed rapidly, and various people's livelihood problems have become increasingly prominent. If not solved, they could jeopardize economic development and social stability. The most fundamental reason which makes People's livelihood problems generating is the system problem. Therefore, the production and solving of livelihood issues are closely related with the system. How to review the livelihood problems of today Chinese society from system perspective, to find out the institutional problems which have led to the people's livelihood issues,and to find the path of the system to solve the livelihood problems is the subject of this thesis.This thesis proceeds from the meaning and dialectical relationship of the people's livelihood and system, and it explains more fully the urgency and necessity to solve livelihood problems of Chinese society. Also it specifically addressed that employment, education, income distribution, social security and other major livelihood issues which bring about owing to the defects of the current system. And then further explore the contemporary Chinese people's livelihood owing to the system. Finally, from the macro and micro system level, it finds out the basic way to solve livelihood problems.First of all, it illustrates the background and significance of examine of the system to contemporary Chinese people's livelihood, and it analyze the current status and results of related research at home and abroad. Therefore, people's livelihood is the end-result of system, and protection and improvement of people's livelihood is the value pursuit and goals of system.Thirdly, it specifically addresses on the current series of people's livelihood issues which cause because of the defects in the system. From employment, education, income distribution, social security areas, it highlights the current mainly livelihood issues.
