Since the establishment of china, the Communist Party and the government always put the emphasis on enhancing the women's status in family and social life, which creates various opportunities for women to take part in work and receive education as well as women suffrage. The issue of women status is an important area of women problem researching. The enhancing of women status is the mark of the country progress and also the best measurement of the civilized degree of a nation. The various works of ethnic minority women is an important part of women's work and also the main aspect of ethnic work. The development of ethnic minority women's work has close relation with the healthy development of social life in ethnic minority area. They also hold the responsibilities of achieving the policy of ethnic and gender equality. With the rapid development of china's economy and the reform of various social system, the status of ethnic minority women continue to be improved. Xinjiang is multi-ethnic area which has special situation and social environment. There are various aspects of factors influencing the women status of Xinjiang ethnic minority. All the various reasons interactively affect the enhancement of women status of Xinjiang ethnic minority. With the implement of the"twelve-fifth"plan and gradual realization of a prosperous society, the women status of Xinjiang minority ethnic will be further enhanced. They will make an important contribution to the harmony of Xinjiang.The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part is introduction which concerns about the women theory of Marxism, academic research on the women status of ethnic minority and its purpose and significance. The second part deals with the social status of ethnic minority women in Xinxiang in respect of the aspects of education situation, economy status and political suffrage. The third part is about the family and marriage status of ethnic minority women in Xinjiang since the establishment of China, which discusses form the point of family status and healthy situation. The current situation of ethnic minority women status is objectively presented in the third part. The fourth part deals with the factors that affect the improvement of women status of Xinjiang ethnic minority. The last part is about the suggestions of how to further improve the women status of Xinjiang ethnic minority women.
