With the development of Power Market and the reform on electric industry, the position of supply and demand on electric changes greatly. How to exploit the new market, especially the valley market, is one of the important problems for the power supply enterprises. In the recent years, the difference between the peak load and the valley load is becoming more and more great and the load rate is falling. There is even seasonal and staggered lack of electricity in some regions. So DSM is more and more used in power marketing, and has important effect now.This paper discusses some theories about power marketing and power marketing strategy, puts forward how to make the power marketing based on the DSM, and it also studies on the quantitative models and means to evaluate the effect of marketing strategy. At last, we make the demonstration research on the related theories above in this paper.
