"Asian and Pacific" is an idea with dynamism, whose domain concerned varies with the times and is presented with a trend of continuous expansion. Before the end of "Cold War, The Asian and Pacific politics experienced totally three modalities with the evolvement of history: "Sole-Polarity, with contemporary China as the subjects; "Powers Snatching Hegemony, in which the powers snatch the Asian and pacific hegemony under the colonial and Washington systems, "Two Polarities", that is, the opposition between Capitalism and Socialism under the Yalta System. After the Cold War, not only did the Asian and Pacific domain expand again, but its own political structures changed thoroughly, and began to enter the times of multi-polarity: America's and China's national strength increases rapidly, with the markedly elevating status and strategic influence; Russian national strength sharply decreases, Japanese comprehensive national strength weakens, and both have seen a decreasing strategic influence; meanwhile, the structural changes brew some opportunities for the development of a few sub-continental nations, for example, the Alliance of Southeast Asian Nations (ASAN) AND India become powerful rapidly and an unignorable force. After the incident of "9?11", a series of new changes of the Asian and Pacific Structure happened once more: the USA strengths its political clout and the guiding place in security in the Asian and Pacific Areas; the arguments of China's threat are appeased, and its clout is elevating; Russia is nearer to the USA in relationship, and the relationship to China and the USA is balanced relevantly; The influence of the Alliance of Southeast Asia Nations decreases, and its function and future uncertainty increase; Indo-American and Indo-Chinese relationship turns better, Indo-Russian relationship is farther strengthened, and Indian strategic status is rising. After the Cold War, the general characters of political structure are: there is neither "single polarity" with American hegemony in the AP areas nor "Two Polarities" of Sino-American conflicts, nor the real "Multi-polarities", which poses a quicker advance and clear-cut trend and can not be set back. After the Cold War, the new changes of political structures in the Asia and Pacific areas not only have a great influence on China's political, military and economic securities, but also the stability of the Asian and pacific areas and even World peace.
