Some challenges as well as opportunities have emerged in the Agile Supply Chainnowadays. A systematic structure of Agile Supply Chain is proposed after the summaryof previous basic theories of ASC and the clarification of the definitions of agility andflexibility. Afterwards, the dissertation analyses five critical factors which may lead tofailures in ASC coordination. Moreover, how to deal with the problems of coordinationin ASC is discussed respectively from three levels: the strategic management level, result decision making level and internal mechanism level. Based on what wasmentioned above, a conceptual model of coordination and a chart of coordinationmechanism are also presented. In two supply-chain models where there are single/dualsource supplier(s), the paper provides with an example of coordination of ASC andbuilds up a cost structure of single/dual source supplier(s). Furthermore, the optimalsolutions and its existence are also verified. Finally, performance assessment ofcoordination of ASC is determined after an index system for performance assessmentand corresponding fuzzy assessment methods are given.
