Study On Strategy Of Food Safety In JiangSu Province

Like energy sources and water, foodstuff is important strategical substance in the world, because it impact on the living of people, stabilization of society, and developing of economy. From 1998 to 2003, planting area and the output of food have decreased in our country, the price of food have increased according. So there are price of food increased greatly in the whole country between the end of 2003 and the Spring Festival of 2004, and supply and demand of food became serious.The leader have repeated emphasized that food is great invent relating the national economy and the people's livelihood, and we should not ignore it at any time. They ask interrelated department analyse the situation of food, specially the inflexion of supply and demand of food. Consequently, measurement of assuring food production should be brought out.Firstly, the paper analyses the reasons of price of food rose greatly, and conclude it is behave of value and anticipation for market under the change of supply and demand. We define food safety as follows: to think much of capability of production food; to build steady base of commercial food; to constitute system of food safety accommodating our condition; to assure balance of supply and demand; to guarantee everyone has adequate food at any time.Secondly, we quantitatively study on production, consumption and repertory of food in JiangSu Province, qualitative analyse situation of food safety, and find the main factors of effecting it.They include increasing of population, increasing of income, decreasing of land and input, adjusting of structure, marketing of food circulation, and entering WTO.Finally, we put forward some advise, for example, building system of food safety correctly; improving the ability of producing food in own province; developing order form; fostering important enterprise; strengthening cooperation with producing area; erecting base of producing food. Moreover, we should construct rapid repertory system, sensitive presentiment system, resultful providing system and normative market system. Thus, the problem of food safety would be settled completely in JiangSu Province.
