In recent years, as a new theory, which will have a strong, push effect on the human resources management, competency research is becoming a hotspot in this field bit by bit, and now more and more people pay attention to it. Since its first introduction to China in the 1990s, many scholars have kept on studying it. But the result of the literature search turns out that all these researches only focus on the literature summary, the theory analysis as well as the construction of the universal competency model. As for how to carry out the research of the competency in the specific management practice of an enterprise, and how to apply this research to the human resources management in a hotel are still blank. How to use HRM to drive the hotel management level going-up is the problem for all hotel managers. In view of the study vacancy, the author hopes to provide the theoretical support and the methodological gist through the dissertation research .The whole passage is divided into five parts. In the first part the research purposes and its significance are summarized, as well as the literature summary; In the second part, the general idea as for how to apply the research of the competency to a hotel is put forward; In the third part, after the demonstration study, a proper exploitation procedure for a hotel as well as the way how to construct it are raised; Next, in the fourth part, it analyzes the ways how to apply the competency to the hotel human resources management; In the last part, it comes to the conclusion, and the limits of this research as well as the direction of the future research are brought forward. According to article result, the author got some ideas, which are as follows: 1) It is feasible to carry out the research of the competency in the hotel human resources management. 2) It' d be better for the hotel enterprises identify the competency by adopting the procedure-driving research ways and construct the competency models in allusion to the specific positions according to the collected data, the...
