In last century, with population's growth and progress of technology, the range that the mankind use land is expanding constantly and the intensity is being aggravated constantly. These have cause a large number of global environmental questions that have constituted enormous threat to the mankind's existence and development. So, it is of great significance to carry on study on land use change. In last few years, economic development, population's increase, increasing of water and soil resources demand and increasing of the living environment pressure of the life style in urban and rural areas of Xinjiang which make depth, scope, speed of land use of Xinjiang demonstrate sharply increasing trend compared with before. It is need urgently to research on land use change of Xinjiang. This paper carry on study base on the detailed survey altering data of land use in 1996 and the current situation to upgrade the data of land use in 2003 .The author use the dynamic model of land use change to analyze to the quantity change of land use, the speed changed of land use, the degree change of land use, the regional difference of land use change in Xinjiang between 1996 and 2003 .And find the characteristic of land use change and existing problem for these eight years. Then Qualitative analyze influence factor of land use change and use the judge law of fuzzily synthetically to quantitative analyze region state city land driving force in Xinjiang. The paper use the model of grey system predict to predict and analyze the variation tendency in following several years. Base on above mention, the author propose some suggestions and countermeasures to the land use in Xinjiang in the future.
