Study On Landscape Ecology Planning And Design In Land Consolidation Project

As we all know, land is a kind of scarce resource whose supply falls short of demand. Largely populated, China has little cultivated land per capita and rare reserved resources of cultivated land. Meanwhile, our country is in the middle period of industrialization. The development of economy construction, industrialization and urbanization will occupy even more land. But our reserved cultivated land resources that can be developed are mainly located in weak ecosystem environment district, so the resulted amount of cultivated land brought by land developing is limited. Most of our cultivated land is used extensively and the farm road, irrigation canals and ditches, ridge covers great areas. This means the latent capacity of land consolidation is tremendous. As efficient means of optimizing land use and balancing the dynamic changes of total cultivated land. Land consolidation is being carried out throughout the whole country. However, in many regions, the main purpose of land consolidation is to increase the overall cultivated land area which neglects the eco-construction, and leads to some ecology problems. Land consolidation, a change of the current land use pattern, will definitely affect the stability of the land ecosystem. Taken up unsuitably, it will wreck the ecosystem, cut down the land production capacity, and affect the sustainable use of land. Based on the theories and approaches of landscape ecology and GIS technique measures, this paper puts forward the connotation, principle and method of landscape ecology planning and design in the process of land consolidation project, and makes some research on land consolidation in terms of landscape ecology planning and design.Main contents and conclusion of the thesis: this paper deals with the land consolidation project of Maji town Yizheng city in Jiangsu province as reference. First, the paper analyze the characteristics of landscape pattern of the project area by using landscape pattern index, exposes the key problems of the landscape eco-construction in this area and decides the direction of landscape ecology planning and design. Then, it analyzes the driving forces of the landscape pattern formation of the area and find out the ecology condition there. All these may make a foundation for the proper landscape planning and design.
