The economy globalization, rapid development of the information technology and the vast application of EC, which make the foreign-trade enterprises must face the more intensive competition. In order to survive and develop, Chinese foreign-trade enterprises shall obtain the share of the world market in the international competition, which means whether the foreign-trade enterprises own permanent competitive advantage will be the most important problem. Unfortunately, the research on the foreign-trade enterprises'competitive advantage is just at the beginning, which fall behind the research in western countries and the development of Chinese economy. So this article bases on analyzing the changes of the international competition surroundings, the new features of the international competition between foreign-trade enterprises, and studying the relative competitive advantage theories, puts forward a new concept of Information Competitive Advantage. Then this article concentrates to study the situation of Chinese foreign-trade enterprises'Information Competitive Advantage, at last puts forward an assumption of competition strategy that promote the development of Chinese foreign-trade by IT. The article has four chapters, mainly studies the subject from the theoretical exposition and realistic analysis respectively, what's more, using a volume of charters and data. Chapter one analyzes the realistic foundation of the foreign-trade enterprises'competitive advantage in EC Era, which include the changes of the international competition surroundings, the new features of the international competition, and the basal factors of EC operation in the foreign-trade enterprises. Chapter two gets to the study on the theory of the foreign-trade enterprises'competitive advantage in EC era. Base on summarizing the relative theories of competitive advantage, the writer develops the Competitive Advantage Theory in the new era, puts forward a new concept of Information Competitive Advantage, and explains it from its definition, embodiment and the method to obtain it. Chapter three starts the realistic study on the Chinese foreign-trade enterprises'competitive advantage, including analysis on the traditional competitive advantage, and the Information Competitive Advantage. Chapter four synthetically thinks of the function of EC for the foreign-trade enterprises'competitive advantage, the problem that foreign-trade enterprises have during the course of using EC, and the method of obtaining the Information Competition Advantage, then puts forward an assumption of competition strategy that promote the development of Chinese foreign-trade by IT, then explains this assumption from the micro-strategy and macro-strategy. The purpose of the article is to raise more people to pay attention to the foreign-trade enterprises'competitive advantage, and to do more to improve Chinese foreign-trade enterprises'competitive advantage, finally to make China change from a large trade country to a great one.
