Research On Electronic Transactions Ordinance Of Hong Kong

Electronic signature is the foremost in the security of electronic commerce . In this dissertation , I will first introduce the concept of electronic signature and then discuss the content of Electronic Transactions Ordinance of Hong Kong and indicate the problems . Lastly , I will provide a few suggestions for legislation of Electronic Transactions Ordinance of Hong Kong according to the local and overseas' electronic commerce law. There are four sections to this dissertation .The first section is the summary of the electronic signature , which includes the concept of electronic signature , the meaning of electronic signature in broad and narrow views respectively and enhanced electronic signature .The second section introduces the main content of Electronic Transactions Ordinance of Hong Kong in detail . It mainly include the validity of electronic contracts and digital signature confirmations , the Public Key Infrastructure establishment, the recognition and supervision of the certification authority , and the obligation of secrecy establishment.The third section indicates the existing problems of Electronic Transactions Ordinance of Hong Kong . It includes the electronic signature mode , the certification authority management, the overseas certification authority management, the liability of private key owner , the certification authority supervision , and matters related to the regulation of mail delivery or delivery in person.In the last section , through the research of the local and overseas' electronic commerce law to improve the Electronic Transactions Ordinance of Hong Kong .
