The Research And Analysis On The New Industrialization Road Of Changsha

Development is key for solving all the problems in the advancement of the human society. Developing task seems extraordinarily urgent in the new circumstances of ever-heated competition between countries and areas all over the world. The world history of economic and social development indicates that industrialization is both an effective means to accelerate social progress and strengthen the economic power and an inevitable stage in the social development process. Modernization is impossible without the full development of industrialization. However, the present world situation has been already totally different from before; meanwhile, profound changes have taken place in terms of resources, environment, social stages, political pattern, economic development, international relations and other respects. Thus, neither is it possible, nor is it necessary for developing countries to follow developed countries' path when they pursue development and industrialization. Rather, they should choose a road of industrialization which suits present new situation and developing tendency and which is in accordance with domestic conditions and regional reality. During the 16th National Congress of Communist Party of China, it has been proposed plainly that when it comes to the developing direction of our industrialization it is "therefore, necessary to persist in using IT to propel industrialization, which will, in turn, stimulate IT application, blazing a new trail to industrialization featuring high scientific and technological content, good economic returns, low resources consumption, little environmental pollution and a full display of advantages in human resources". This is a scientific decision in the light of the science and technology developing by leaps and bounds in our times, the information age which has arrived quietly, natural resources serious shortage, environmental problems deteriorating day by day and the present situation of our great population. It will play a significant strategic role for accelerating ourindustrialization and modernization. The exploration and pushing-forward of new industrialization road must be guided by scientific theories; especially, it should be aimed at the macro-arrangement and reasonable plan according to regional reality. Only with these can the economy develop comprehensively and quickly, coordinately and sustainably. This article bases itself on the reality of Changsha-- an inland provincial capital city, conducts theoretical researches, explores and analyzes the developing strategies regarding how Changsha should implement and push forward the new industrialization road in the new situation, elaborates comprehensively the connotations and characteristics of industrialization and new industrialization and in a scientific way, judges Changsha's present developing stage of industry. On this basis, the article makes penetrating analysis of the present situation and existing problems in Changsha's industrialization process and then puts forward concrete mindsets and feasible methods to develop new industrialization in Changsha. According to this article, Changsha is at the medium stage of industrialization with some characteristics at the preliminary and the advanced stages. Observing from the actual situation, the potential for Changsha to accelerate its economic and social development lies in industry. However, it is also the industry that lags behind. Exerting great efforts on the advancement of new industrialization road is an inevitable choice for Changsha to realize modernization. At present, difficulties for Changsha to realize new industrialization are three problems, namely, the scientific advantage hasn't been given a full play; the degree of industry centralization is not evident and the main bodies in the market competition are not vigorous.
