The compulsory measures in criminal proceedings, besides personal activity free compulsory measures such as arrest, detention etc., it includes other various kinds of measures which are guaranteed implement by the force of the country, for instance: search, seizure, the communication is monitored etc. Investigation is an extremely important part in the pretrial procedure, to the mandatory measures which the relevant personnel of criminal suit took, the overwhelming majority is determined and carried out at this stage. However, the regulation and application of this kind of measures in our country's criminal suit activity are unstandard . This text puts up with the relevant regulations of Criminal Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China(1996) and other current laws , to discuss how to regulate and perfect the compulsory measures in criminal proceedings except for arrest, detention, forced appearance, residential surveillance and obtaining a guarantor pending trial.
