With the development of Chinese economic restructuring and opening and Chinese market economy, especially with the China's entry into the WTO,the import and export, international investment of China will expand in a more free and wider circumstance . In the same time, the investment and trade between mainland and Taiwan develop quickly. Then there are some civil and commercial disputes arise. As China is one of the vigorous economic entity in Asia-Pacific area, and Taiwan is also the commercial center of Asia. Solving the disputes through arbitration is the need for both of them.Arbitration rules is the norm of arbitration proceeding .The status of arbitration rules is only next to the peremptory norm of arbitration law and the norm of material law related to the arbitration law. This paper compares and analyzes the scope of accepting cases, arbitration jurisdiction, appointment of arbitrator, fast-track arbitration etc between Wuhan Arbitration Commission and Taiwan Arbitration Association and then put forward some thinkings and suggestions on communications between arbitration organization in Taiwan and in mainland. It is significant both to the theory and the practice. This paper is divided into three parts:Part one introduces the legal status arbitration rules, and gives a brief discussion on Wuhan Arbitration Commission, Taiwan Arbitration Association and their arbitration rules.Part two compares several issues of the two arbitration rules, includes the scope of accepting cases, arbitration jurisdiction, appointment of arbitrator, fast-track arbitration etc, and then gives suggestions on those matters;Part 3 suggestions on the revising principles of Wuhan Arbitration Commission and communications between arbitration organization in Taiwan and in mainland.
