Preliminary Study On Political Civilization Construction In A Socialist Harmonious Society

The research on harmonious society and political civilization is two hotspots in our theoretical eyesight. Based on combination of the couple, the fundamental theory of political civilization within the framework of harmonious society and the development process of political civilization in China are reviewed and discussed in detail. Some important characteristics and problems in the development of socialist political civilization in a harmonious society are explored and analyzed in the thesis.In Chapter One, the basic theories of political civilization are reviewed. The theoretical framework of the relationship between politics and civilization, and the scientific connotation and characteristics of political civilization are discussed in depth. At the end of this chapter, the construction practices by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leaders of three generations for developing political civilization in China are summarized.Chapter Two firstly investigates the development history of the theories for harmonious society. Then the concept of the Marxists' harmonious society and the basic connotation and characteristics of a harmonious society are clarified and discussed. Finally, the intrinsic requirements of a harmonious society and the dependence and relationship between political civilization and harmonious society are analyzed.Chapter Three discusses the problems and the reasons that cause them faced by the current Chinese government in the construction of political civilization. Then the approaches for constructing socialist political civilization within a harmonious society are outlined. The author emphasizes that in the development we must insist on the principles of the CCP's leadership, the people's ownership of the country, and ruling the country by law. The political consciousness, political systems, and political behaviors should be developed synchronously by referring to other nations' experiences.The thesis focuses on the construction of political civilization with theframework of a socialist harmonious society. The author tries to provide some solutions to the major difficulties faced by the current Chinese government in the political civilization construction. The thesis is aiming at developing some useful theoretical considerations for political civilization construction in a socialist harmonious society, which can accelerate the construction progress of a full well-to-do society and the socialist modernization in China.
