Research And Analysis On The Essence Of Symbol From The Perspective Of Axiology In Marx Philosophy

The phenomenon of symbol has being drawn much attention for so long time. In the history of philosophy, a great number of philosophers were engaged in the research of symbol while symbolism, an achievement of theoretic research, became a hot concern that so many researchers were crazy for it all the time. Especially in the post-modern times, when fragment research becomes a main stream, various researches on symbol are in prosperous ascendant. Most researchers are trying to explore and decode the symbol problems in public media in the context of post modernism, expecting to make a new development on symbol theory. What is symbol? What is the foundation of its origin and development? What is the relationship between symbol world and objective world? No body can provide us a convincing answer to such questions till now. The reason lies in that people just defined the symbol essence in the filed of linguistics with a metaphysical description but did not touch on the roots. Although the purpose of their research is to reveal the significance of human being's existence, their efforts in fact turned out to be a rootless work obviously because they ignored the most essential question, or in other words, they did not get the extract of symbol theory. And that is the very key way to find out the truth.Although Marx and his works neither gave us a clear definition on the essence of symbol nor provided a direct theoretical achievement for our reference, he indeed enlightened us in finding a scientific researching method on the study. In this thesis, resorting to brief review and analysis on western symbol theories, the author tried to explore the roots of symbol's development from the perspective of Marxism's Practice Viewpoint, toanswer the essential question that western symbol theorists did not answer and to correct their wrong conclusion, and clarified a truth that the value of symbol lies in showing the living state of human being, who is regarded as the main body in social practical activities.From another point, the history of symbol development of human beings is also the history of their recognition;therefore, the research on symbol provided a new perspective on the study of human's psychological phenomenon and their recognition development. It is very necessary for us to make a deep discussion on symbol phenomenon from the point of Marxism philosophy, a subject contributed to the recognition of human beings.
