Study Of The Protection Of Telecom Consumers' Rights And Interests

Recent years have witnessed, with the repaid development of telecommunication business, the constantly increasing trend of the consumers' complaints about the services of China Telecom, and cases of criticizing and even suing telecom enterprises have been frequent. So the protection of the telecom consumers' legal rights and interests is an important activity concerned with millions of families and other sections of our society. The thesis defines theoretically the content of the protection of the telecom consumers and then elaborates on the practical significance of protecting the telecom consumers. Based on this an analysis is made of the rights and interests enjoyed by the telecom consumers, the cases of violating the consumers' rights in the process of telecom consumption and its underlying reasons. Finally, a suggestion is made of the content of protecting the rights of the telecom consumers, and discusses the approaches of constructing the mechanism of protecting the telecom consumers' rights and interests from five perspectives: telecom legislation, strengthening of the government's administration of telecom, perfection of judicial and arbitrating procedures, the function of intermediate social organizations and the cultivation of the telecom consumers' consciousness of protecting their rights and interests.
