The article focuses on the authentication of electronic materials to develop the two theories that theory of replacing audio-video material which concerning the legal status and that theory of classifying electronic material according to the proving principle which concerning the academic classification of electronic material; and deduces the two elements of authenticity that named relevance-based authenticity and relative-integrity-based authenticity on the basis of organizing the distinct and relation between authenticity and other attributes. Then it designs a set of not only theoretical but also operating plans from technology and rule to solve the problem of the authentication of electronic material in the legal practice.Chapter1 begins with the types of evidence in the procedure laws of China, and develops independent evidence theory based on comparison between the current theories. Then it analyses further the status of electronic materials in the procedure law of China from electronic technology and logic concept to present a valuable and operable measure by combining the history and actuality of legal categories mode in China.Chapter2 reviews the theories of classifying electronic materials as yet and develops the classification according to the proving mechanism for practice, which classifies electronic materials to electronic documents, audio-visual materials and systemic records. After that, it makes a summary of rules of identifying compound electronic materials from certain electronic materials in practice.
