Nowadays the multilateral co-operation security mechanism is an important studying object in the studying of international security, it is the main method for each country to cope with the security dilemma, now ARF is the most important and only official multilateral co-operation security dialogue mechanism in Asia-Pacific. Because Chinas American and Japan are the main countries in Asia-Pacific, its multilateralism policies toward Asia-Pacific are sure to affect the development of the multilateral co-operation security mechanism in Asia-Pacific. One of the basic footholds in this paper is from China, American and Japan's perspective to analyze the future of multilateral co-operation security mechanism in Asia-Pacific. After the analysis, we can find there is a common point among these countries, generally speaking, their attitudes are active, it is undoubtedly beneficial to the development of the multilateral co-operation security mechanism in Asia-Pacific. Finally, we conclude that with the deepening of Asia-Pacific country's co-operation and strengthening of regional political integration, there exits a possibility to achieve the community-based multilateral co-operation security mechanism, but for years to come the Asia-Pacific will be a region that will exit somewhere between a balance of power and community-based security order.
