Investigation And Analysis Of The Status Quo Of Citizens' Cognition On The Government Image

It is an image era when human beings cross the threshold of new century. Government image, under certain conditions, refers to citizens' total cognitions and evaluations about external performance of a government, which is determined by its internal characteristics. Good government image can improve the legality and rationality of government behavior, strengthen the solidarity and calling of government, raise the prestige and reputation of government, better the efficiency and effect of government performance, make government gain the full trust and whole-hearted support of citizens. The study of government image, therefore, has not only higher theoretical value, but also profound and lasting realistic significance.The empirical study of government image is still a young field.
