Along with the development of economy, the situation of fire disasters has been more severe. With the current limited human resources of police, to improve efficiency poses a major challenge to the fire department. So evaluation of performance, as efficient management measurement, becomes the current hot topic of fire department.This study choose the fire department of Chen-Zhou county as the research case in attempt using job description , BARS method ,and standard evaluation system to develop an objective and feasible performance standard. This system is aim to give a timely evaluation of performance in the work of the fire officers.Through interviews at fire officers and bibliography reviews, we research the following conclusions and related recommendations:1. To formulate job description, based on analysis of every station of the fire department of Chen-Zhou county.2. To evaluate energy level factor.3. To establish standard evaluation system, which consist of job performance, recognition of supervisor, satisfaction of public.4. To frame justice evaluation project.5. To establish the award project.It is found that the evaluation of performance has a strong agreement of task on improving the job-related efficiency of fire officers.
