A profound association exists between justice and theatre . Focusing on the"justice in the theater", which is a diachronic course, this thesis includes a foreword and four chapters. In the foreword, it starts with the trial of Socrates to reveal the theatric dimension of justice. Chapter One addresses the common characteristics of justice and theatre, including the conflict and opposability, the synchrony and concentricity and the impersonation and outfit, etc. Chapter Two disserts the conversion course from"justice in the open air"to"justice in the theater". It consists of three parts: factors of the existence of"justice in the open air"; causes of the emergence the"justice in the theater"; and a review of its development and its representation. Chapter Three expounds the modern meaning of the"justice in the theater": the professional role and professional consciousness of judges and other lawyers, the logos of justice, and the external and institutional support. Chapter Four discusses the deficiencies of the"justice in the theater"and ends with a summary of its revelation.
