Philosophical Retrospection: From Mao Zedong To Hu Jintao

Communist Party of China has been keeping to the spirit of Marx's theory of "just as philosophy regards proletariat as its own material weapon, proletariat regards philosophy as its own spiritual weapon". It is good at using philosophical world outlook and methodology to guide its theoretical innovation and practice. Since its founding until its being strong, Communist Party of China has always been permeated with a line of philosophical enlightenment, philosophical application and philosophical development. Depending on this weapon of philosophy, Communist Party of China leads people to unite, overturn the "three great mountains", win the great triumph of new-democratic revolution and socialist modernization and finally, create a way for socialism with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, if we want to research on the philosophical theory in the course of development of Communist Party of China, we should consider the philosophical theory of central collective leadership and the main leader of Party as the basis. To interpret from the backdrop for philosophical theory of Communist Party of China, this paper adopts the standpoint, viewpoint and method of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, combines deduction with inference, quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis, and synchronic with diachronic. It divides the philosophical theory of the previous three and the new central collective leadership into four parts, including starting point of logic, task of philosophy, philosophical thinking, philosophical center of gravity to discuss the inheritance, development and innovation. Then it attempts to find out about how to bring along theoretical innovation through philosophical innovation under the new historical condition to promote the development of all causes of the Party and the country.
