On Professional Ethic Education In Public Security Colleges In The New Period

Professional ethic education in public security colleges are now faced with many new problems: 1).there are some errors in guide ideology in some colleges, more attention has not been paid to professional ethic education; 2).Contents of professional ethic education are very simple, some people think the contents of it are all the contents in Professional Ethic Standards of the People's Police issued by Ministry of Public Security; 3). Ways and methods are single, the way of class teaching is only used in professional ethic education, and cram teaching is the major way; 4)environment of it is blocked, and some people think the pattern of military management in public security colleges are equal to blocking, so some graduates can't adapt themselves to the society. In the new period, the grave international situation, the reform and opening, the economic construction and the present situation of the people's police all require the public security colleges to strengthen the professional ethic education. In addition, the specfics and characteristics of public security colleges also require us to strengthen the professional ethic education. This kind of education enables the students of public security colleges to realize character transform as early as possible, and establish police sensitivity; it enables them to adapt to the requironments of the development of the public security work, and assume their responsibilities; and it also enables them to understand the basic behavior standards of the people's police, and make the correct choices. What's more, the Party and the State Council have put forward the task of constructing socialism and harmonious society, so public security colleges shoud strengthen professional ethic education with harmonious belief, strengthen the education of socialist harmonious society theory with Three Represents, and teach students to carry out the requirements of public security work in enforcing law practice, in order to adapt to the present social developing requirements.
