The Research On Legal Protection Of Domain Name

With the roaring development of commercialization of networks, many disputes on domain name are coming out, and a series of legal problems are caused. Now it has become a problem we have to face to in the Internet era to solve those disputes on domain name. This is the background of the thesis. There are 5 chapters in this thesis besides the prelude.The first chapter concerns about the general summary of domain name. This chapter's focus is Chinese domain name system.The second chapter concerns about the analysis of law characteristics of the domain name. In analytical comparison with the traditional commercial identification, we can come to the conclusion that domain name should be an independent area of intellectual property and the owner of the domain name has the exclusive right to use, the right of profiting and the right of disposing.
