From the exploration of Chunxiao oil and gas field which is fuse of the dispute in East China Sea between China and Japan, the dispute has become the focus in Asia-Pacific region and has been concerned by the international community. Nowadays, the lack of energy is a global issue and the nations are aware of the importance of ocean consciousness, ocean demarcation is unable to avoid for any nations include China and Japan. Appropriately processing of the ocean dispute, reasonable maintenance of nation's maritime rights and utmost seeking of national interest are challenges of a nation's economical power, military force and the strategy of diplomacy. The dispute in East China Sea relates to territory and sovereignty problems between China and Japan. Moreover, it involves to acquire the sea consciousness and to strengthen the sea idea. China shouldn't neglect the construction and balance of ocean strategic. This dissertation chooses the field of maritime rights on the dispute of East China Sea, to elaborate the controversy on continental shelf dispute of the East China Sea, and to design reasonable solution and do aggressive outlook.The dissertation has three charters:The first chapter analyzes the dispute of ocean demarcation between China and Japan in East China Sea whose continental shelf contains rich minerals, massive fishery resources and has the extremely important strategic advantage. How to solve the conflict affects China's maritime rights, national interests, sovereignty and processing of ocean demarcation with other peripheral national for China.The second chapter analyzes the significance of China's maritime rights from the dispute. Because China and Japan not only want to hold the oil and marine resource, but also the territory and sovereignty of related islands and ocean area. It is very important to protect China's legitimate maritime rights and interests.The second chapter analyzes solution and prospect of the dispute in East China Sea. Peaceful consultation and diplomatic way is most superior choice to solve the conflict in the East China Sea. But the premise is to persist China's the sovereignty right. China and Japan need to cooperate and joint develop sea area in disputing and promote the international energy cooperation between China and Japan.
