Soviet Policy Towards Israel From 1947 To 1957

This thesis mainly makes a study on Soviet policy towards Israel from 1947 to 1957.Soviet had contended with Britain in the Middle East for a long time ,but the Middle East had almost been dominated by Britain before the World War II. The world War II changed the power of Soviet and Britain ,Soviet became the first-rate power and Britain became the second-rate one.The variety of the power of Soviet and Britain also changed the situation of the two country contending in the Middle East,so pushing Britain out the Middle East became the Soviet policy,but Soviet was wery damaged in the World War II,so Soviet took advantage of postwar national liberation sport in the Middle East to push out Britain.Many Arabic monarches wished to cooperate with britain,but the jews revolt Britain for building their country in Palestine, So from Britian submitting the Palestine issue to the United Nations on April 1947,to Israel joining the United Nations on August 1949,Soviet supported jews building their county in Palestine and tried to safeguard Israel.Fron August 1949 to Slalin death on March 1953,Stalin did not change his attitude towards Arabic nationalism,though mutual interests of Soviet and Arab had been multified. Israerl had to hover between American and Soviet and Israel must keep uniformity with Soviet in some great international issues,though Sovit believed Israel must rely on American at last,because the Trumen government thought highly of Arabic country ,American refused to cooperate with Israel in military and refused to safeguard Israel.So Soviet stopt supporting Israel,even broke off diplomacy relationship with Israel, but Soviet did not damage Israel and always kept validity of Israeli existing.Afer Stalin death,Soviet restored diplomacy relationship with Israel,but speeded up the step of developing diplomacy relationship with Arabic country.After Khrushchev holding power ,Soviet increased to help Arabic country .these helps included a lot of advanced weapons.these weapons threatened Israel,so Israel tied to developped friendship with American.Soviet's interests conflicted with Israeli interests.Soviet hostile policy towards Israel at last took shape.
