The Transformation Of Government Functions And The Construction Of Public Service Oriented Government By The Undeveloped Region

The dissertation starts with an inspection to the domestic and international conditions, as well as developing dilemma faced by the Chinese undeveloped region government, and then discusses the necessity of the transformation of the government function and governance. It also reviews the government function transformation of a county-level government during the past over 20 years, analyses the different resistance and dilemma faced by the depressed area government, and find out the governance transferring directions and reasons of the local government, which was based on the case study of County Wencheng in Zhejiang Province. Finally, the dissertation analyses the problems existed in the process of the public service oriented government construction in the undeveloped region, and then offers some constructive suggestions which were based on the current situations of the undeveloped region.
