Maritime international crimes not only violate the international maritime code and practice but also affect the maritime transportation and other related maritime business activities. They pose a threat not only to the safety of people and property but also to the maritime public order. However, the present international conventions are relatively backward, and that makes the international judicial cooperation hard to be achieved. Therefore, researching maritime international crimes in new situations, perfecting related conventions, strengthening the international cooperation, legislating international crimes domestically are of great significance in effectively attacking and punishing maritime international crimes, maintaining maritime navigation order and ensuring the safety of maritime activities.After a discussion of the concept and features of international crimes the present paper clarifies the concept and scope of maritime international crimes with an analysis of the concept of crime. It focuses on the study of crimes such as Crime of Piracy, Crime of Endangering the Safety of Navigation, Crime of Endangering the Safety of Fixed Platforms Located on the Continental Shelf, Crime of Damaging the Undersea Cables and Pipes, makes comment on the current situation of related international legislation of maritime international crimes and international judicial practice and puts forward the proposal of revising the international legislation and perfecting the international cooperation of judicial practice.On the basis of commenting on interregional and foreign legislation, the present paper puts forward the proposal that china legislate against maritime international crime by learning the advanced legislating experience from other countries in response to the lack of legislation against maritime international crime in China.
