Transition Of A Village And Its Peasants On The Move

After the China Reform, the large-scale phenomena that farmer workers migrate from rural to urban has become a characteristic in the era, then the life style of peasant reform. Especially, the migration of the youth has effect the rural society deeply. This case study picks up a village of Zhuang Zu, discuss the interaction between the migration of the youth and the reform of the village, using the tools of anthropological participation observation to collecting statistic. My final conclusion is that the rural-urban migrating of the youth result from the interaction of national political power and market power, which play an important role in the reform of the village in a long term. And the migrating of the youth cause an change in the village, including that the relationship in families, the regional net ,meaning of the traditional ritual has weaken.This dissertation is composed of five chapters.The first chapter introduces the research reason, methods and the academic achievements.Chapter Two firstly introduces the natural environment and the historical background of the village, secondly describe political and cultural background of the village .The third chapter analyses the phenomena of the rural-urban migrating of the youth, from reason, modernity, the choose between continue migrating or return.The fourth chapter shows the possible effects of the rural-urban migrating of the youth. I argue that the regional net, the relationship of the families, and the meaning of the traditional ritual has weaken. Then the peasant may become farmers in the village one day.The last chapter summarizes the study and shows some feeling about the field work and the writing culture.
