The Study Of Township Government In Public Service System Of Rural Areas

Influenced by the market economy and administration reform, township governments of China that have become primary organizations in rural areas play the functions of transmitting messages, helping rural community service and so on. There has a long history of township governments' power, which can be derived from Qing Dynasty. According to the documentary narrations, the main function of township governments focused on social tax and safety in feudal society. Since 1949, the construction of market economy and administration reform has become into the elementary function.With the popularity of economic structural reform and the structural of changes in rural areas, it is more and more pressing to establish and strengthen the township governments' administration in China. It has not only been a major concern for the academic circles and the national people, but also one of the main focuses in the governments' work recently.This thesis starts with the comparison of township governments in different developed countries and different dynasty, so as to perceive the trend of township governments in future. From the discussion of administration theories, the thesis sets up a consolidated theory base concerning the administration theories of township governments in public service system in rural areas. Finally, analyzing the existing administration framework and attribute of township governments in China, this thesis puts forward the feasibility and applicability of the township governments in rural public service that has been drawn above.
