The Source And Development Of "the Harmonious Society" And "the Harmonious World"

Actually, "harmony" is not a new concept. As a philosophical thinking, it can be traced back to ancient Greece in the west. However, because of the general characteristic of "the idea that man is an integral part of the nature", "harmony" is central to the traditional Chinese philosophy. "Two harmonious ideas" are innovative, criticizing and inheriting some forepassed harmonious thoughts, abstracting their "universality", and compaginating the "universality" with the Chinese "individuality" and the current global situation. Therefore, it reaches the perfect combination of "universality" and "individuality", domestic affairs and diplomacy.The "two harmony" ideas have deep realistic sources. Specifically speaking, it is positively in response to the contemporary main trends of the world and the situation of our country, embodying our party' spirit of enterprise and keeping pace with times. Judging its essence, the philosophical meaning of "the two harmony" is to set up a brand-new contradiction idea. In this aspect, there is no doubt that Marxist harmonious thought and dialectics have provided a key to this problem. But we must realize that this harmony that we want to approach is in the background of the whole world and China which are experiencing the unparalleled intergradations. This idea originates from some fore-passed harmonious thought and aims at exceeding to them. It is one kind of "dynamic harmony" and "heterogeneous harmony". Therefore, it requires that we must carefully investigate the Marxism's cognition about identity and struggle of contradictory in order to fracture the antiquated apprehension in the problem of identity and struggle of contradictory according to the progress of the practice. Thus, to guide the course of "two harmony " relies on with brand-new contradiction idea and "the harmonious philosophy ".Based on criticizing and inheriting former harmonious thinking, Marx and Engels established scientific harmonious view. It has huge real meaning for us to research and discover its scientific connotations in contemporary times in order to guide our practice. Judging from Chinese reality, the maturity of the theory of "two harmony" ultimately has experienced a long range of inquisition and development process. At the initial stage of the People's Republic of China, the first generation leader of CPC had already begun to research how to change the "fighting philosophy" into the "harmonious philosophy" according to theguiding principle——"turning negative factors into positive factors". The second and thirdgenerations of CPC widening and deepening research, this idea was totally mature under the guide of the Central Committee of our Party who takes Hu Jintao as General Secretary. Hence, there is no doubt at all that "the two harmony" is the result of collective leadership of four generations leaders of CPC that advances wave upon wave and keeps paces with times. It is also the fruit of our Party's collective wisdom and the important achievement of Marxist chinanization.
