Political and economic situations in Africa saw remarkable changes in recent years, mainly featuring gradual stability of the overall political situation, increasing growth of economy and more attention the international community paid to Africa. These changes indicate that Africa is entering a new historic stage in pursuit of peace and development. Major Western countries all believe that it is necessary to renew their views on the value of Africa, for the sake of African influence and strategic interest. They regulated their policies for Africa one after another, trying to reconstruct their relationships with Africa. However, obvious double standard still exists in those policies. On the contrary, the long-held cooperation between China and Africa is based on mutual respect and equal treatment. It is of strategic significance for both parties to establish new strategic partnership to enhance comprehensive cooperation under the new situations, and a win-win situation is likely to present itself in areas such as politics, economy, culture, anti-terror and international affairs. The relationship between China and Africa will surely be developed further as long as both parties hold the principle of sharing development opportunities and coping with various challenges together.
