Research On Jiang Zemin's Thinking On The United Front

The united front is a historical phenomenon in society that is one or several classes, strata, or groups form an alliance in order to share common interests in class societies. Jiang Zemin's thinking on the united front is an important component of the "Three Represents" thought, is a product by integration of the thoughts on the united front in Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory with the actual situation and the characteristics of the new century's China, and is the crystallization and creation of the wisdom of the third generation of collective leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Jiang Zemin at the core, is the inheritance and development to Deng Xiaoping's theory on the united front. Hence, Jiang Zemin's theory on the united front has not only the essential feature of inheritance from the historical formers but also the characteristics of advancing with the times.This paper includes three parts: firstly, I explored the background that Jiang Zemin's thinking on the united front and maintained that Jiang Zemin's thinking on the united front is based on the basic theory on the united front of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and geared to the inside and outside situations of the new century's China. The second part systematically discussed the theoretical system and the main content of the united front, including the role, nature and objects, tasks and principles of the united front in the new era; the main content, focusing on the democratic parties, the non-public economic, ethnic and religion, and the reunification of the motherland and the intellectuals and other issues. The third part macroscopically discussed the feature of advancing with the times of Jiang Zemin thinking on the united front, and further analysed its theoretical innovation, and the practical significance to the development of current economy and building into a harmonious society.
