This thesis attempts to inspect Chu's Vicissitude from the perspective of the military strategy, and discuss the military strategy's position and effect in Chu's developing process.First of all,I introduced the source and meaning of "strategy", "military strategy" and some relevant concepts, and divided Chu's military strategy into four parts such as strategy for attack and defence, strategy for the destruction, strategy for the united force, and strategy for commanding in battlefield according to the characteristics of the war during the Pre-Qin period. When analysing and summarizing the impact and characteristics of Chu's military strategy, I didn't judge it's success or failure from temporary gains or losses, but made a comprehensive analysis with investigating geography, economy, politics, diplomacy and other factors from the view of contradiction-and-development .and summarized the characteristics of Chu's Military strategy by its being created , used and developed. This thesis also reviews about the subjective and objective factors which influences the establishing and playing of Chu's military strategy, and proves that the subjective factor- intelligence is a main factor which determines the successes and failures of military strategy , at the same time , the advantage or disadvantage of the objective factors such as geographical conditions , economic conditions and weapon often accelerates or restricts the palying of military strategy, and palyes a crucial role under specific conditions. At last ,this thesis summarizes military strategy's position in the development of Chu, and investigates the fundamental reason why Chu was destoryed by Qin State. And considers that Qin had the most efficient system which made Qin standing out and made China coming to unity finally. As a result, the system being efficient or not is the decisive reason for Chu's decline, Though military strategy's effect isn't decisive, but very important.
