The crime of corruption, committed by civil servants who take advantage of their power and abstain profits for themselves, is a grave social corruption phenomenon. The central point at issue is the flexible and uncontrolled power resulted from expansion of selfish desire. Our country has established some legal penalties including death penalty, which from the angle of legislation shows a tendency to crack down on this kind of crime severely. The problem is that due to the limited conditions and means, it is hard for the judicial departments to obtain firm evidences during the course of detecting and hearing the crime. Therefore, investigating the crime of corruption depends on the collection, examination and application of evidences. The matter of evidence is the basis and core of the whole contentious procedure. This essay analyzed the forms and characteristics of the crime of corruption. Also, it refers to the collection of evidences and the issue of examination related to the crime. Moreover, it conducts preliminary studies on the establishment of rules involving the application of the evidences for the crime and the reversed duties of giving proofs.
