A Research On E-Gvoernment Information Resource Sharing In China

Since the early 1990s, the world has observed a technological revolution of similar magnitude to the industrial revolution of the early 20th century. The development of information technology has provided organizations and societies worldwide with an innovative medium of communication entirely new to humankind and informatization has been the main focus of countries all around the world. E-Government, an important part of the national information system, has already been considred by the United Nations Economic Society&Business Department as the prime field of the information highway. Since the development of e-government entered into a new stage, information sharing has become an indicator of the e-government construction and a tough issue of great importance.As getting-online and the fifteen "golden" projects took palce successfully, e-government in China has made certain achievements. But it is still significant to research government information sharing mechanism since there are so many unsolved problems lying in it.Guided by economic and strategy theories, the article mainly adopts the methods of investigating in literature research, comparative study, historical research and embodiment. Through analyzing the concept in depth and an up-to-date way and combined with the research of the newly developments in China, the article points out the problems existing in the construction of government information and gives some suggestions accordingly at last.At present, governments of developed countries generally realize the importance of government information resources construction. We can learn a lot from their experience to construct our information sharing system. We should consider information technology as the means to collect government information and e-government as a platform to deal all kinds of government affairs and to provide services to citizens. It is high time to accelerate the construction of electronic government information sharing system in China and it will help to inprove the status of social informationization.
